The Role

In collaboration with the Director of Essentials Communications, you will translate portfolio and company priorities into strategic external communications plans, news engine activations and storytelling initiatives. You will bring Hyatt's Essentials brands to life for consumer, corporate customer, owner and development audiences while supporting priority openings, milestones and property initiatives.

• Develop and execute audience-specific communications strategies and storytelling aligned with Hyatt's strategic priorities, brand positioning and growth objectives.

• Develop creative consumer activations, bold storytelling and innovative ideas that bring Essentials brands to life, particularly newer brands entering the market and priority hotels.
• Lead proactive and reactive media relations for Essentials brands, including media opportunities, pitches, spokespeople, interviews and inbound requests.
• Collaborate with Essentials portfolio leaders on communications needs, including media interviews and speaking engagements, and develop and edit press releases, bios, messaging documents, briefing books and talking points.
• Manage the day-to-day PR agency relationship, providing direction and oversight to ensure deliverables, timelines and results align with portfolio priorities (as applicable).
• Serve as a liaison among regional and global communications teams, brand portfolio communications teams, social and internal communications partners, and the PR agency.
• Support owner, operator and development communications by translating portfolio performance, brand relevance and growth opportunities into compelling stories and communications materials.
• Establish communications objectives and measurement plans, track results and use insights to refine future storytelling and programming.
