About the Role

The Manager, Back on Track Program leads the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of SFU's academic recovery programming for undergraduate students. The role supports students to regain academic standing, build confidence, and make meaningful progress toward degree completion. Working in close partnership with faculties, advising teams, and campus services, the Manager ensures programs are responsive, well-coordinated, and aligned with broader student success and retention priorities. This role also strengthens program quality through thoughtful administration, data-informed decision-making, and collaboration across units.

The ideal candidate is a highly detail-oriented, collaborative leader with strong experience in student services, advising, or academic support programming. They are student-focused and committed to meeting diverse learners where they are, with a strong emphasis on equity and inclusion. They bring excellent administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex programs, processes, and competing priorities with precision. A skilled relationship-builder, they work effectively across academic and administrative units. They are comfortable using data to inform decisions and are committed to continuous improvement, evidence-based practice, and delivering high-quality, student-centered programs.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree and four years of related management experience which includes direct experience in academic advising, strategic enrollment management and student services or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
