About The Position

The Manager, ASC (Ameren Services Center) 6 Business Services is responsible for directing several transactional functions in a way that ensures business continuity and compliance while driving out waste.These functions include Customer Payments, Accounts Payable, Reconciliations and Telecom. The Manager, ASC- Business Services is also a vital member of the Ameren Service Center Lead Team tasked with onboarding new work into ASC and transforming it to support Customer Affordability initiative. This position reports to the Director, ASC. ASC is a shared services organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead four operational teams totaling approximately 25 employees and manage an operating budget exceeding $20 million.

  • Work with stakeholders to improve customer bill delivery and payment options.

  • Stay abreast of key industry knowledge and practices through relevant association memberships and conferences, utilizing the knowledge gained to move organization forward.

  • Ensure compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and documentation.

  • Ensure account reconciliations and unclaimed property filings are completed accurately and timely.

  • Respond to inquiries from regulatory entities as appropriate.

  • Support the ASC by building internal problem-solving capabilities and facilitation skills to result in a continuous improvement (CI) culture.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate operational effectiveness, service quality, compliance, and cost performance.

  • Manage strategic vendor relationships, contract performance, and service delivery to optimize costs, mitigate risk, and protect company assets.


Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university required. MBA, CPA or CTP, preferred. Eight or more years of Finance-related experience required. Five or more years of leadership experience required.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

High personal standards and professional conduct including integrity and ethics are required. Strong communication and negotiation skills to a variety of audiences required. Ability to develop relationships and build trust required. Excellent project management skills including planning and scheduling resources required. Knowledge of Ameren9s Labor Agreement(s) preferred and the following Ameren competencies: Think Customer, Inspire and Engage, Foster Innovation, Drive Results, Champion Learning, Build Trust, and Be Strategic

Compensation Range:

$131,900.00 - $204,400.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
