The Analytics & Reporting group is accountable for continuous improvement of the analytics and reporting process across Capital Markets and International Operations.
The Manager will report to Director of the group and will assist in the digitalization of the reporting process using Power BI and will also assist in developing the Robotics Process Automation and AI program for the Capital Markets and International Operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist who is looking to enhance their data visualization skill, building out solutions to bring value to the existing data and analytics and becoming AI champion.
The Manager Analytics and Reporting consults on analytical solutions to understand, analyze, and synthesize requirements, goals and objectives relative to data and business intelligence needs and to enable high-quality, fact-based business decisions to drive better business outcomes. Understands and articulates the business case of business questions and the estimated value being delivered. Designs dashboards and analyses to be performed, and appropriate visualization and analytics tools to use. Identifies trends and patterns to address identified business questions and provide insights through reporting and data visualization techniques. Works with other data and analytics professionals to optimize, refine, automate and scale analysis into repeatable analytics solutions and decision support tools.
- Builds various reporting dashboards using the most appropriate data extraction, data cleaning and data visualization techniques.
- Provides value through insights, reporting and data visualization techniques. Selects, configures and implements analytics solutions for consistency and repeatability.
- Researches and applies continuous improvement in data visualization by identifying trends and patterns to transform raw data into actionable business insights.
- Works with different teams, management and stakeholders to enhance the usability and aesthetic appeal of data analytics solutions deployed in the organization.
- Translates business needs to technical specifications and evaluates existing data visualization systems in order to improve them.
- Develops data visualizations of "large" amounts of data that facilitate the intuitive presentation of data to decision makers.
- Documents data flow, systems and processes to improve the design, implementation and management of business/group processes.
- Develops tools and delivers training programs for use of reporting tools and self-serve analytics by non-analytical end users; may include delivery of training to audiences.
- Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
- Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- University degree in business/commerce, data sciences, engineering, finance, mathematics or equivalent degree
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of key financial products and P&L related processes.
- Strong proficiency with Excel, programming knowledge in VBA and SQL, and experience with database maintenance and navigation
- Knowledge and experience in data preparation, data analysis, and statistical tool sets including but not limited to Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, SAS, R, Python, MATLAB, SPSS - In-depth.
- Experience applying AI and automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, RPA) to drive operational efficiencies and improve data processes.
- Strong promptengineering skills and ability to translate business needs into effective AI-enabled solutions.
- Proven capability to identify, implement, and test AI use cases with clear business value.
- Solid understanding of AI governance, risk, and responsibleuse considerations.
- Ability to coach and enable others in the effective use of AI tools.

The above represents BMO Financial Groups pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Groups expected target for the first year in this position.
