Overview
The Manager of Accreditation and Regulatory is responsible for the oversight, planning, implementation and management of activities that support UF Shands in maintaining a successful accredited health care organization. This manager may lead or supervise staff.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities includes but is not limited to:
1) Acting as the on-site survey coordinator,
2) Acting as a resource and consultant to the organization,
3) Acting as a liaison between the organization and its accreditation and regulatory bodies, and
4) Serving as an expert in continuous improvement processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Master degree in Nursing, Public Health, or other health care related field required.
A minimum of 3-5 years current experience as a leader or manager in an acute healthcare environment required.
Superior knowledge, skills and ability in working with accreditation and regulatory agencies required. Other essential skills include strong leadership skills. The ability to provide broad vision and analytical skills to complex and comprehensive problems and lead improvement initiatives is required. Strong communication and negotiating skills required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: MSN candidates must hold a current RN license in the state of Florida and obtain national nursing certification within six months of hire.
