About the jobWe are seeking an experienced, proactive, and technically sharp Accounting Manager to join our global Finance team in New York City.
Crucially, we are looking for an impactful people manager to step in, lead, and mentor our core accounting group. In this role, you will own our month-end and year-end close across global entities, drive US GAAP consolidations, implement SOX-ready controls, and build the scalable workflows needed to support our hyper-growth.
Responsibilities- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles, establish closing schedules, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
- Review and approve journal entries, complex accruals, prepaid schedules, and critical balance sheet reconciliations.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust internal accounting policies and controls to safeguard assets, ensure data integrity, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Directly manage, mentor, and foster the professional growth of accounting team members, prioritizing workloads and maintaining high standards of execution.
- Prepare tax reports and regulatory filings for US and Canada entities.
- Partner with external auditors and consultants during interim and annual audits to address and resolve ongoing accounting issues.
- Collaborate across departments to align financial processes with broader business objectives.
