Full Job Description
Major Duties :1. Manages an account administration unit or
function. Conducts the performance management
process, identifies training and development needs,
and establishes performance standards for the unit.
2. Determines staffing needs, makes hiring and
firing decisions, handles salary administration,
and ensures resources are available to accomplish
priorities.
3. Participates in developing the business unit
strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based
on the direction set for the unit. Follows through to
ensure objectives are met.
4. Develops unit(s) budget and manages the
expenses for the unit.
5. Provides leadership and guidance to staff,
fostering an environment which encourages
employee participation, teamwork,
and communication.
6. Allocates client accounts according to client
needs, complexity of account and to maximize
client satisfaction. Maintains communication with
staff to anticipate needs effectively and provide
support when needed.
7. Oversees client servicing activities; resolves
complex operational issues related to support
and service.
8. Supports sales professionals through the
effective management of marketing and client
service activities.
9. Provides technical support and expertise to
relationship managers and determines how to
meet clients'' needs from a service delivery
point of view.
10. Promotes the bank and its products through
speaking at industry and client conferences, public
relations interviews, and participating in task forces.
Knowledge :Knowledge of institutional trust operations
and accounting systems and/or banking
products and services, usually acquired
through work experience, is necessary to
administer master trust and custody accounts
and/or banking services. Knowledge of general
finance and portfolio management concepts,
usually acquired through formal education or
experience, is required to oversee client
relationships. Skills in negotiation, delegation,
and sales are necessary to service the client
relationship. Leadership and organizational
skills are required to determine the unit goals,
resources needed, and to assess and develop
the skills of the staff.
Experience :7-10 years experience in client servicing capacity,
with 2-3 years experience in a financial services
environment.
