Full Job Description
The Manager, Account Management, Third-Party Partnerships supports the day-to-day management and execution of Aveda business with assigned third party distributor accounts. This highly tactical role coordinates account plans, sales and inventory reporting, marketing and launch execution, distributor communications, and cross-functional follow-up. Working under the direction of senior Account Management leadership, the Manager helps translate approved strategies into clear actions, tracks deliverables and business performance, and resolves routine executional issues to support sales growth, brand standards, and strong distributor partnerships.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Account Coordination and Execution (30%)
• Serve as the day-to-day contact for assigned distributor partners, responding to routine requests and escalating strategic, financial, or sensitive issues to the Vice President.
• Maintain account workplans, calendars, contact lists, meeting materials, action logs, and follow-up trackers to ensure commitments are completed on time.
• Help to coordinate recurring distributor meetings; prepare agendas and materials, capture decisions and next steps, and drive timely cross-functional follow-up.
• Support implementation of approved account strategies, commercial priorities, and annual operating plans across distributor markets.
2. Sales, Inventory, and Business Reporting (25%)
• Compile and analyze routine sell-in, sell-through, inventory, door, productivity, and product-mix reporting to identify trends, risks, and execution gaps.
• Prepare weekly and monthly business recaps, dashboards, and presentation materials for Account Management leadership and distributor discussions.
• Partner with Sales Planning, Demand Planning, and Finance to track forecasts, orders, inventory health, stock-to-sales, and launch readiness.
• Flag variances, out-of-stocks, excess inventory, missed orders, or other business issues and coordinate recommended actions with internal partners.
3. Marketing, Launch, and Promotional Execution (20%)
• Coordinate distributor execution of approved launch, holiday, sampling, gift-with-purchase, promotional, merchandising, education, and digital initiatives.
• Maintain launch and marketing trackers, consolidate distributor inputs, route assets and information, and confirm deadlines and execution requirements.
• Partner with Channel Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Education, Product Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure distributor materials are accurate, on brand, and delivered on time.
• Gather execution recaps and results, document learnings, and support post-program analysis.
4. Cross-Functional Operations and Issue Resolution (15%)
• Coordinate routine operational needs across Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Education, Marketing, and Field Sales.
• Track new item setup, assortment updates, pricing, testers, collateral, samples, and other launch or account requirements through completion.
• Investigate routine order, shipment, invoice, inventory, asset, and timing issues; recommend solutions within established guidelines and escalate exceptions as needed.
• Maintain accurate account documentation, reference materials, and shared files.
5. Distributor and Market Support (10%)
• Support market visits, distributor conferences, sales meetings, and brand events, including logistics, materials, presentations, and follow-up.
• Monitor distributor websites, marketing placements, and in-market execution for adherence to approved plans and brand standards.
Qualifications
• 4+ years of relevant account management, sales, or commercial operations experience; professional beauty products experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders.
• Analytical aptitude and comfort working with sales reports, inventory data, forecasts, and basic financial metrics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience preparing business recaps and customer-facing presentations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented, collaborative approach.
• Ability to travel periodically for distributor meetings, market visits, sales conferences, and brand events
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is$87,550.00to $143,800.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
