WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAYAs a MANAGEMENT OFFICER, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:
- Advising the Director/Deputy Director in the preparation and presentation of the CIO out year budget. Developing annual budget plans and budget justifications and manageing the approved budgets within the Center/Institute/Office (CIO).
- Participating with the CIO Director and other senior leadership in establishing long- and short-range financial management effectiveness goals, objectives, and plans.
- Managing the administrative activities of the entire CIO, including the human resources functions of the
organization, functional statements, organization charts, and staffing plans. - Developing goals and objectives and establishes policies and procedures to accomplish the work of the unit and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Planning, directing, and evaluating the CIO's critical and operational planning, program development, and administrative and management services programs.

QualificationsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORMinimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the
GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:
- Advising CIO leadership on preparation and presentation of out-year budgets and resource requirements.
- Partnering with CIO leadership to establish long- and short-range organizational goals, objectives, and operating plans.
- Directing CIO wide administrative activities, including HR functions, functional statements, organizational charts, staffing plans, and workforce requirements.
- Establishing organizational goals, policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure effective operations and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Planning, directing, and evaluating critical operational planning, program development, and administrative and management-services functions.
