, your typical work assignments may include the following:
- Analyzes policies and procedures in order to increase efficiency and implements resulting improvements. This includes identifying data sources and analyzing and presenting data in a variety of formats to diverse audiences at all levels of the organization.
- Assesses and develops policies and procedures regarding resource utilization, organization, mission and functions, work measurement, workload analysis, and productivity measurement;
- Collaborates with key leaders and managers to examine programs and operations and develop strategic objectives and business plans that focus on improving program performance and achieving outcomes;
- Lead Field Operations task teams in support of the national responsibility (such as budget, property, time and attendance management, training, and security);
- Serves as project manager to execute a variety of ongoing and special projects that may affect any office function and may cross organizational lines;
- Oversees staff assigned to provide a wide variety of GAO-wide business processes and administrative and support services and processes that enable the field office to function optimally by assigning work and establish priorities;
- Serves as the Security Officer for a field office's physical and information security programs and processes.

QualificationsYou may qualify at the BAND III level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower level/band, equivalent to the CS-II, PT-II, PE-IIA/B
or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which has equipped the applicant with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience is defined as experience overseeing and performing a wide variety of administrative functions and services such as handling routine building maintenance issues, applying physical and information security policies and procedures, and/or monitoring, maintaining, and reconciling an office budget.
Prior professional experience must demonstrate the ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse administrative activities, as well as the ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others. Customer service skills as well as written and oral communication skills are also required.
