THE POSITION
Join the Department of Transportation as a Management Analyst Supervisor and help guide important quality and performance initiatives as the laboratory's assigned Quality Manager. This role gives you the chance to lead talented staff and support programs that strengthen laboratory operations. You will contribute to improvements that shape testing processes, data quality, and customer satisfaction. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position oversees quality management programs, staff supervision, and accreditation processes that support accurate laboratory testing and strong operational performance. As a Management Analyst Supervisor and laboratory's assigned Quality Manager, you will perform the following duties:
  • Quality Oversight: Manage quality systems, standards and corrective actions to maintain accreditation
  • Program Leadership: Guide staff through continuous improvement efforts and process evaluations
  • Training Coordination: Maintain documentation and support employee certification and training compliance
  • Safety Support: Assist with documentation and monitoring of laboratory safety programs
  • Project Management: Coordinate work plans, distribute assignments, and ensure timely results
  • Performance Review: Evaluate staff work, prepare assessments, and provide guidance for improvement

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience as a Management Analyst 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in technical management analysis work which included evaluating work methods, procedures or organizational structures, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
