Summary

About the Position:

Serve as a senior management analyst responsible for performing studies of complex problems involving prospective major changes to Criminal Investigative Division (CID) operations, structure, force development plans, stationing, and equipping.

Duties

Help

  • Conduct formal manpower studies, evaluate organizational efficiency, and validate civilian and military authorizations.
  • Manage career path development, design organizational charts, coordinate force design updates, and manage structural changes within the agency.
  • Utilize analytical methods to determine direct impacts on the agency's force structure, personnel footprints, and long-term capability planning.
  • Present complex technical data, structure changes, and policy justifications clearly to senior military and civilian leaders.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of complex functions and work processes including past, present, and programmed operations.
  • Input and retrieve data using established databases and systems for the purpose of tracking, clarifying, and updating the force structure.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes executing complex military personnel management programs and force readiness initiatives; analyzing staffing requirements utilizing enterprise databases to provide authoritative policy guidance to command leaders; and coordinating multi-echelon administrative actions and workforce plans to ensure organizational alignment and regulatory compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
