Overview

Department: Radiology Diagnostic

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Salary range: $1,431.20 - $2,072.80 gross per week (based on 40 hours)

Days: 10-hour shifts......7am-530pm or 730a-6pm. Every 3rd Saturday. No holidays, Sundays, and no on-call.

The Mammography Technician actively participates in the performance of specialized radiographic imaging procedures which assist the radiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services, the Mammographer actively participates in the performance of specialized radiographic imaging procedures which assist the radiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders. The Mammographer will participate in direct patient care, facility quality and safety initiatives as well as local and federal regulations. Assist with complex and sensitive patient and patient family issues. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
2. Current ARRT certification.

3. Advanced certification in the field of Mammography.

4. Current experience as a radiology technologist.

5. Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.

6. Current BCLS (AHA) certification.

7. Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards.

8. Ability to travel to all imaging facilities both regularly and without notice.

9. Experience in Hospital Information Services (HIS)/Radiology Information System (RIS).
