The Opportunity:

As the Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor, you will oversee and support the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. This role is responsible for supervising and training mechanics, implementing and monitoring the preventative maintenance program, and coordinating with production leaders to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. You'll manage parts inventory, troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, enforce safety standards, and maintain a clean, organized shop environment. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you'll play a key role in driving efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across all maintenance activities.

What You'll Do:
  • Supervise and delegate all maintenance projects to the mechanics as needed to support production.
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program and training subordinates on the correct and efficient method to complete the PM's.
  • Responsible for keeping track of parts inventory and maintenance supplies. Alert the DOE for ordering replacement parts to avoid running out of any keep component or part that
  • supports production or janitorial supplies.
  • Will train other mechanics and assist them when needed to maximize efficiencies and minimize down time.
  • Coordinate with the Manufacturing Manager and Production Supervisors to determine which production lines or other projects are needed necessary to support production activities.
  • Ensure the Maintenance Shop is kept clean, organized, keeping the safety of all mechanics as a priority one training them on all potential safety hazards as they pertain to machines, welding, cutting, drilling, milling or any other mechanical activity in the Maintenance Shop.
  • Assists workers in troubleshooting malfunctions on all machinery and equipment in an efficient and effective manner to minimize down time and maximize productivity.
  • Directs other mechanics on the most efficient way to dismantle and assemble equipment to maximize productivity.
  • Calculates the time it takes to troubleshoot, repair and re-set up the machine(s) to maximize productivity.
  • Enforces all safety rules to the mechanics and will report all unsafe acts to the Plant Director for possible disciplinary actions as indicated in the Company Employee Handbook.
  • Recommends methods of improvements in equipment performance or tooling to maximize quality and minimize down time.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems as it pertains to employee issues or solving work related problems.
  • Follows company policies and enforces same policies among the maintenance team.
  • Including: safety, SOP'S, GMP'S, attendance, meal breaks and harassment.
  • The Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor Reports Directly to the Plant Director.


What You'll Bring:
  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college, or technical school or 5 years related experience working in a Engineering Mechanical Maintenance Department.
  • Must understand both electrical and pneumatic schematics and other critical maintenance documentation associated with working in Maintenance.
  • Must have through working knowledge of all machinery and equipment in the facility.
  • Must have prior experience working as a Supervisor/Lead directing, motivating, and training maintenance mechanics.
  • Must have the ability to coordinate, schedule and plan all maintenance activities to all affective departments necessary to support production

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
