À propos du poste:

Le/La Responsable Maintenance est responsable de la gestion globale des actifs, en assurant l'efficacité de la maintenance (planification et ordonnancement) ainsi que son efficacité technique. Il/elle est également responsable du respect du budget des dépenses d'exploitation (OPEX) liées à la maintenance.

Ce rôle combine leadership technique et développement d'équipe, en favorisant une culture d'amélioration continue et d'excellence technique au sein du département maintenance.

Le/La Responsable Maintenance supervise plusieurs fonctions clés, notamment :l'ingénieur automatisation, le magasinier, le planificateur, l'ordonnanceur, et les techniciens.

Responsabilités principales :

  • Diriger et encadrer l'équipe de maintenance, en veillant à ce qu'elle dispose des compétences et des connaissances nécessaires pour accomplir ses fonctions efficacement.


  • Développer les membres de l'équipe en identifiant les écarts de compétences et en proposant de la formation, du mentorat et des opportunités de développement.

  • Fournir une rétroaction régulière et encourager la collaboration interfonctionnelle, afin que chaque personne progresse dans sa carrière tout en contribuant au succès global de l'usine.

  • Assumer la responsabilité de la réalisation en temps opportun des activités de maintenance préventive (PM) et corrective (CM), tout en garantissant un haut niveau d'efficacité et de rentabilité.

  • Gérer le budget de maintenance, en s'assurant que toutes les dépenses sont alignées avec les objectifs de l'entreprise et les initiatives de réduction des coûts.

  • Mettre en œuvre les standards globaux et superviser les processus du système BCOS (Barry Callebaut Operating System), notamment en maintenance autonome (AM) et maintenance préventive (PM), afin de maximiser la disponibilité opérationnelle et la durée de vie des actifs.

  • Améliorer l'efficacité de la maintenance en optimisant les processus de planification et d'ordonnancement en collaboration avec le planificateur et l'ordonnanceur.

  • Collaborer avec les ingénieurs en fiabilité afin d'améliorer l'efficacité des interventions en mettant l'accent sur la fiabilité des équipements et la gestion de leur cycle de vie.

  • Assurer la cohérence des pratiques de gestion des actifs à travers les équipes et les sites, en fournissant du soutien et des orientations lorsque nécessaire.


Profil recherché :

  • Baccalauréat en ingénierie, gestion des actifs ou domaine connexe.

  • Minimum de 5 à 10 ans d'expérience en gestion d'actifs, en leadership en maintenance ou en ingénierie de fiabilité dans un environnement manufacturier (idéalement dans l'industrie alimentaire).

  • Bonne connaissance de la maintenance productive totale (TPM), de la maintenance axée sur la fiabilité (RCM), ainsi que des méthodologies de planification et d'ordonnancement de maintenance.

  • Expérience dans la gestion de budgets OPEX en maintenance, incluant l'optimisation des coûts.

  • Compétences reconnues en leadership, avec une capacité à développer les équipes, améliorer la performance et instaurer une culture d'amélioration continue.

  • Maîtrise des systèmes de gestion de maintenance assistée par ordinateur (GMAO / CMMS), idéalement IBM Maximo, ainsi que d'autres outils de gestion d'actifs.

  • Excellentes aptitudes en collaboration et communication pour travailler efficacement avec des équipes interfonctionnelles (production, opérations, parties prenantes globales).

  • Solides capacités d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes, avec aptitude à utiliser les données pour soutenir la prise de décision et optimiser les processus de maintenance.

  • Bilinguisme français et anglais, permettant des interactions efficaces avec les collègues et partenaires tant sur site qu'à l'extérieur du Québec.


About the role:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and coach the maintenance team, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively. Develop team members by identifying skill gaps and providing training, mentoring, and growth opportunities to enhance their capabilities.

  • Provide regular feedback and encourage cross-functional collaboration within the team, ensuring that each individual grows in their career while contributing to overall plant success.

  • Accountable for conducting timely Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities, ensuring the highest levels of efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

  • Accountable for managing the maintenance budget, ensuring all spending is aligned with business objectives and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Implementing Global Standards as well as overseeing the BCOS (Barry Callebaut Operating System) pillar work processes, particularly in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) to maximize operational uptime and asset lifetime.

  • Oversee maintenance efficiency by optimizing planning and scheduling processes in collaboration with the Planner and Scheduler.

  • Collaborate with the Reliability Engineers to improve maintenance effectiveness by focusing on equipment reliability and lifecycle management.

  • Ensure consistency in asset management practices across all teams and locations, providing guidance and support as needed.


About you:

  • Bachelor's in engineering, Asset Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in asset management, maintenance leadership, or reliability engineering within a manufacturing environment (preferably in food manufacturing or processing).

  • Strong knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and maintenance planning/scheduling methodologies.

  • Experience in managing maintenance OPEX budgets, including cost optimization.

  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on coaching and developing teams, driving performance improvement, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), preferably IBM Maximo, and other asset management tools.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, operations, and global stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making and optimize maintenance processes.

  • Bilingual in both French and English, enabling effective interaction with colleagues and partners both on-site and outside of Québec.
