Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:
  • Supports and leads safety efforts at Bogalusa Mill that include an injury-free environment through role modeling safe behavior, active involvement in safety activities and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Completes the First Line Leader (FLL) Onboarding/Proficiency Curriculum.
  • Coordinates and leads efforts to support high performance work teams.
  • Leadership role in ensuring team member relations, efforts, and processes are in place to maximize team member engagement and results.
  • Leads provides guidance, and/or supports teams as needed to achieve team goals, daily responsibilities, and overall mill goals.
  • Manages daily shift operations in their assigned area while focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Provides constructive and positive feedback, coaching, support, and performance management to ensure all team members have a positive, productive, and safe work environment.
  • Communicates as needed with team members and mill leadership for resolution of safety, quality, cost, production, and personnel issues.
  • Communicates and lead the application of facility policies and standards.
  • Hold meaningful one-to-one discussions with members of crew; set clear expectations for both team and individuals and motivate team members to strive for success.
  • Coach employees to be safety leaders and/while leading by example.
  • Provide leadership to troubleshoot operation issues.
  • Understands and meets internal and external customer requirements.
  • Develops, maintains, and uses reliable methods for all processes and their improvements.
  • Assists other team members in the mill as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
  • Maintains and develops team relationships with a positive attitude that instills confidence in personal leadership ability.
  • Manage Lockout/ Hot Work and Vessel entry programs.

The Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge You Will Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of operations, maintenance, and/or engineering experience in a paper manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills required.
  • Demonstrates a successful leadership ability in a manufacturing environment, including safety leadership.
  • Must have a high level of integrity, motivation, and leadership to develop and lead others.
  • Excellent skills in organizing, planning, priority setting, and time management, with proven ability to adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate problem solving or conflict resolution processes.
