Full Job Description
Basic Function

The Maintenance Excellence Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for leading and developing teams supporting the execution of maintenance work. As the Maintenance Execution Site Process Focal Point (SPFP), this position is accountable for the leading and continuous improvement of the process to optimize execution efficiency, support stakeholders, deliver to customers, and control costs. This role promotes a culture of collaboration with stakeholders that enables efficient and effective end-to-end maintenance.

Job Duties

  • Creates a collaborative team environment that fosters ownership and technical growth through mentoring, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Leads team of skilled maintenance professionals providing a collaborative work experience.
  • Providing coaching on the work process requirements, skills, and behaviors required to execute the work process.
  • Promoting continuous improvement and visual management to improve work process execution.
  • Analyzing work process key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement, formulating and deploying collaborative solutions.
  • Identifying and escalating any site integration issues between work processes which cannot be resolved.
  • Collaborating with peers from other sites to identify and share best practices.
  • Managing the CMMS tool (SAP Maintenance), identifying and deploying tool enhancements, and introducing new technology that supports efficient execution of the work process.
  • Prepares, analyzes, and provides reports of maintenance spend in support of cost control.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Experience

A minimum of 10 years of industrial maintenance/craft experience or equivalent engineering experience, with five years of supervision experiences required depending on assignment.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelors degree, preferably in a science or engineering related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Responsible for the direct supervision of up to 15 employees and/or contract staff depending on location.

Work Conditions

Refinery based with up to 5% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors, and driver environment based, including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, and working in confined spaces. Subject to all temperatures, varying weather and road conditions.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 30lbs, climbing up to 200ft, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates, perceiving color differences, ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and strenuous physical activity.

Salary Range: The salary range includes the minimum, midpoint, and maximum base salary values. A candidate's offer can vary depending on differentiating factors, including but not limited to education, training, or experience.

This position has a salary minimum of $124,900.00 and maximum of $226,900.00.
