Full Job Description
Responsibilities

Maintenance & Equipment Reliability
  • Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all production equipment, test systems, and facility assets.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures, chronic issues, and performance degradation.
  • Ensure equipment uptime, reliability, and safety to meet production requirements and operational KPIs.
  • Partner with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering teams to improve equipment design for maintainability and long-term robustness.
  • Oversee maintenance documentation, including work orders, service logs, and equipment history records.

Calibration & Technical Accuracy
  • Own the full calibration program for production tools, measurement devices, sensors, and test equipment.
  • Define calibration intervals, procedures, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with Quality and Engineering.
  • Manage internal and external calibration services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Maintain traceability and documentation for all calibrated assets.

Spare Parts & Asset Management
  • Establish and manage a structured spare parts program, including critical spares identification, stocking strategies, and vendor coordination.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels to support uninterrupted production while optimizing cost and storage.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle management, including equipment commissioning, decommissioning, and replacement planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Design Engineering, NPI, Quality, and Production teams to support new equipment introduction and scale-up.
  • Participate in equipment FAT/SAT activities and support installation, commissioning, and validation of new machinery.
  • Provide maintenance and calibration input during equipment design reviews and process development.

Continuous Improvement
  • Use data-driven methods to identify trends, reduce downtime, and improve equipment performance.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for equipment-related quality or reliability issues.
  • Drive improvements in OEE, equipment health monitoring, and maintenance efficiency.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and calibration personnel, providing mentorship, training, and technical guidance.
  • Develop team capabilities in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and calibration best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering - or equivalent technical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, calibration, reliability engineering, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining complex manufacturing equipment such as automation systems, machining tools, test stations, or power electronics assembly equipment.
  • Experience with calibration programs, metrology principles, and measurement system accuracy.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a data-driven approach to problem solving.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and methodologies such as CMMS, TPM, OEE, PFMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and coordinate with vendors and service providers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with power electronics manufacturing or high-reliability industries such as automotive, aerospace, semiconductor, or energy.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic schematics.
  • Experience with motion control, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial sensors.
  • Familiarity with equipment commissioning, FAT/SAT, and capital equipment projects.
  • CAD proficiency for reviewing mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience improving OEE and implementing predictive maintenance technologies.
