Qualifications

• 7+ years of mainframe production support experience
• Strong expertise in IMS, DB2, and COBOL
• Proficiency with JCL, SORT, and ICETOOL
• Experience managing production job failures and providing BAU support
• Knowledge of deployment and implementation planning
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders
• Experience in VSAM dataset management
• Capability to deliver quick fixes for batch issues
• Familiarity with modern tools like VS Code and Copilot is a plus

Responsibilities

• Participate in knowledge transfer sessions to ensure smooth onboarding
• Maintain business as usual (BAU) stability for production systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve production job failures promptly
• Manage and maintain VSAM datasets as required
• Plan and coordinate deployment and implementation of changes
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders about project status and updates
• Provide quick fixes for batch failures as they arise
