Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Architect with AWS expertise to support enterprise modernization and architecture initiatives involving legacy mainframe systems and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in mainframe technologies including IMS, CICS, DB2, COBOL, and z/OS, along with experience designing and supporting solutions within AWS environments. This role requires strong architectural capabilities, technical leadership, and the ability to bridge legacy mainframe systems with modern cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect enterprise solutions involving mainframe systems and AWS cloud platforms
  • Lead modernization and integration initiatives between legacy mainframe applications and cloud-native environments
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across mainframe and distributed systems
  • Develop and support applications using COBOL and related mainframe technologies
  • Design and manage batch processing workflows and JCL scripts
  • Support IMS database environments including IMS/DB and IMS/DC implementations
  • Design and support CICS transaction processing solutions and interfaces
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and cloud engineering teams to implement scalable and reliable architectures
  • Participate in system analysis, architecture reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
  • Support migration, integration, and modernization initiatives involving AWS and Java technologies
  • Contribute to system administration activities including dataset management and security-related processes
