Position Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to collaborate with cross-functional teams in creating innovative solutions that support AVB Marketing clients' eCommerce presence. This role will be responsible for developing, testing, troubleshooting, and deploying web applications while partnering closely with development, design, and DevOps teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about building high-quality, maintainable software and delivering reliable solutions that enhance the user experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• End-to-end development: design, develop, test and fix bugs
• Troubleshoot code and implement fixes.
• Collaborate with development and design teams to create functional and user-friendly applications.
• Work closely with the DEVOPPS/IT team to design deployment procedures for products and take ownership of rollouts to ensure success.
• Write high-quality code for web applications or perform updates to existing codebases that are easily understandable and maintainable.
• Develop software solutions following enterprise architecture, processes, pro-cedures, and protocols.

Remote Work/Travel: This position will work remotely from a home address and subject to AVB's Remote Work policies and procedures which are then in effect. In addition, from time to time, this position will be required to engage in travel, including travel to attend AVB's Annual All-Employee Meeting as well as other travel obligations which may be required of the position such as meetings with members, attendance at conventions and shows and other events where you will represent AVB. (Any requests for accommodations to required travel (including medical) should be addressed with Human Resources.)

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in developing PHP applications.
• In-depth knowledge of PHP and Magento.
• Experience with AWS Lambda, EC2, 53, and RDS.
• Familiarity with MVC architecture and RESTful API development .
• Strong understanding of optimized web server configurations and experience in scaling web applications on AWS.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Cl/CD pipelines on AWS and/or GitHub.
• Ability to implement security best practices for PHP applications.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in AWS cloud environments .

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or a related field) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in developing PHP applications.
• Experience working with MySQL Server and SQL.
• Experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment.
• Proven track record of PHP development with a strong emphasis on Magento.
• Practical experience working with AWS services, including but not limited to AWS Lambda, EC2, 53, and RDS.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and setting up Cl/CD pipelines.
• Any relevant AWS certifications would be considered a significant asset for this position.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
