Full Job Description
Brown & Brown is seeking a M365 Senior Engineer to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL or Plano, TX.

The Sr. Cloud Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of enterprise productivity and collaboration of cloud technologies. This role helps ensure Microsoft 365 and related workplace platforms remain stable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

Collaboration and Support: The Sr. Cloud Engineer works closely with infrastructure teams, profit centers, the Service Desk, and Level 2 Microsoft 365 support staff augmentation to resolve operational issues and improve service delivery.

Technical Leadership: Serving as a subject matter expert, this role contributes to enterprise workplace and collaboration projects, provides technical guidance for new solutions, and supports planning and implementation activities. The position works under the direction of senior leadership and reports to the M365 Cloud Services Manager.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Administer and configure Microsoft 365 and Entra ID services, including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, MFA, SSO, and related collaboration technologies.


  • Resolve Level III incidents and service requests through ServiceNow.


  • Provide subject matter expertise for Exchange Online administration, support, and troubleshooting.


  • Assess technical needs, document requirements, and support the design of Microsoft 365 solutions.


  • Support the evaluation, administration, and responsible adoption of AI productivity tools, including Microsoft Copilot and Claude, to strengthen collaboration, automation, knowledge management, and operational efficiency.


  • Prepare and deliver monthly cloud operations metrics.


  • Evaluate, test, and apply critical updates on a regular basis.


  • Integrate new solutions into the existing infrastructure and support deployments that meet business and technical requirements.


  • Assess current technologies, tools, and services, and recommend improvements based on security, compliance, financial, and operational considerations.


  • Develop troubleshooting guidance and operational documentation for support teams.


  • Support audit activities by providing required operational evidence and documentation.


  • Assist with cybersecurity investigations as required.


Skills & Experience to be Successful:

Required

  • Five or more years of Microsoft 365 cloud engineering experience, including subject matter expertise in Microsoft 365 messaging and Teams.


  • Commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer-focused results.


  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.


  • Ability to travel occasionally, up to 10%.


Preferred

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or related field.


  • Microsoft certifications.
