Position Description:

Are you a hands on Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio expert who can move confidently between platform architecture, tenant administration, agent lifecycle governance, Power Platform controls, telemetry, and stakeholder working sessions?CGI is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio technical specialist to help a large, regulated enterprises establish a safe and scalable foundation for enterprise agents. This is not primarily an agent development role and it is not a policy only governance role. The successful candidate will translate enterprise governance requirements into practical Microsoft platform configurations, control profiles, operational processes, monitoring approaches, and evidence based recommendations.You will work alongside business, architecture, governance, security, privacy, finance, adoption, and Microsoft stakeholders. You will help assess the current agent estate, define and validate controls for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Agent Builder, and Copilot Studio, establish an intake to production path, pilot the controls with real agents, and transition a repeatable operating capability to the client. Drive agent estate understanding, lifecycle management, platform control profiles, cost governance, pilot validation, and operational handover.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1. Microsoft 365 Copilot and Agent Estate Assessment
Lead discovery and inventory of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Agent Builder, and Copilot Studio agents across the tenant.
Analyze agent ownership, sharing, usage, lifecycle status, duplication, and consumption patterns.
Assess data sources, telemetry, dependencies, and visibility gaps to establish an accurate agent baseline.
Define processes for agent registration, cataloging, reuse, transfer, review, and retirement.

2. Microsoft 365 Copilot Technical Governance
Design governance controls aligned to agent risk tiers and lifecycle requirements.
Define standards for publishing, sharing, ownership, access, monitoring, and promotion of agents.
Establish controls for ownership continuity, agent lifecycle management, and enterprise catalog adoption.
Support usage reporting and collaborate with security teams on permissions, DLP, information protection, privacy, and data access considerations.

3. Copilot Studio Platform Architecture and Controls
Design intake, approval, and governance processes for Copilot Studio agents.
Conduct technology-fit assessments across Microsoft 365 Copilot, Agent Builder, Copilot Studio, and related solutions.
Define environment strategy, security controls, role assignments, connector governance, and Power Platform DLP policies.
Establish ALM, release management, monitoring, and operational controls for agent deployment and support.
Assess existing agents against governance standards and document risks, limitations, and remediation requirements.

4. Copilot Consumption and FinOps Controls
Define consumption monitoring, ownership accountability, budget thresholds, alerts, and reporting.
Evaluate tenant telemetry and administrative capabilities to recommend practical consumption controls.
Develop escalation processes for excessive or abnormal usage.
Align platform consumption reporting with adoption, business value, and accountable ownership.

5. Agent Lifecycle and Governance Enablement
Translate governance principles into technical standards, controls, procedures, and operating models.
Support development of agent taxonomy, risk classifications, lifecycle stages, approval gates, and control frameworks.
Ensure governance addresses identity, permissions, data access, connectors, monitoring, change management, and retirement.
Provide technical guidance on platform capabilities, limitations, licensing implications, and enterprise integration requirements.
Maintain project assumptions, dependencies, risks, decisions, and supporting evidence throughout delivery.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required Qualifications
• 4 or more years of experience in Microsoft cloud, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, enterprise collaboration, or related platform engineering roles.
• Three or more years of hands on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform governance, conversational AI, enterprise copilots, or closely related Microsoft technologies.
• Demonstrated experience administering or designing controls for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform Admin Center, and the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
• Strong practical knowledge of Copilot Studio environments, solutions, connectors, connection references, authentication, actions, topics, knowledge sources, publishing, channels, and environment security.
• Hands on understanding of Power Platform environment strategy, environment groups, DLP policies, managed environments, security roles, maker access, and tenant level governance.
• Experience designing or implementing development, test, pilot, and production paths, including solution aware ALM, versioning, promotion, rollback, and change controls.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, or working with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform administrative data, inventories, audit information, analytics, and usage telemetry.
• Ability to assess agent designs for identity, permissions, data access, connectors, actions, sharing, ownership, supportability, and operational risk.
• Practical understanding of Microsoft Purview, sensitivity labels, information protection, DLP, audit, privacy, and data access considerations relevant to Copilot solutions.
• Ability to distinguish clearly between Microsoft 365 Copilot, Agent Builder, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Azure services, and custom application patterns.
• Experience translating governance or architecture requirements into technical configurations, control specifications, operating processes, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical workshops involving platform administrators, architects, security teams, risk stakeholders, makers, business owners, and senior leaders.
• Strong written communication skills, including experience developing architecture decisions, platform standards, runbooks, operating procedures, test evidence, and executive ready recommendations.
• Ability to work effectively in a regulated, federated, and multi stakeholder enterprise environment.
• Ability to identify platform limitations and dependencies honestly rather than presenting unvalidated functionality as available.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95 000-$145 000. This role is an existing vacancy.
