Full Job Description
Meta is hiring a Monetization Policy Manager with expertise in privacy, AI, and technology policy issues to join our Monetization Policy team and help us build products, services, and technologies that benefit both people and businesses globally. The team's mission is to create a strategic advantage and favorable political conditions for our business, specifically around personalized ads. You'll help shape the company's approach to privacy and other key policy issues across Meta's monetization products. You'll serve as a subject matter expert for Meta's global policy team on Meta's AI-driven monetization products and the online advertising ecosystem. You'll collaborate with our teams to evaluate and respond to legislative and regulatory developments, and to engage with external experts on privacy and other technology policy issues around the world. A strong candidate will be familiar with privacy and technology policy issues related to social media platforms, AI, online advertising, and monetization. You should be a self-starter, a team player, and a creative problem solver who is able to switch easily between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking. You should also have an understanding of and familiarity with stakeholders and perspectives in the privacy community and be able to use your knowledge to promote privacy in Meta's AI-driven monetization products and services.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and provide guidance on the privacy and policy implications of AI-driven monetization products, services, and technologies
• Work with engineers, product managers, designers, lawyers, and others to help interdisciplinary teams build creative solutions to monetization, privacy, and policy challenges, especially when new and novel questions around generative AI and machine learning come into play
• Serve as a representative of Meta regarding monetization, privacy, and policy issues in external meetings and conferences
• Analyze global legislative and regulatory proposals concerning privacy and other technology policy issues; spot external trends and develop policy strategies for monetization products
• Consult with external privacy and other policy experts on how best to ensure that Meta builds AI-driven monetization products and services responsibly
• Serve as a subject matter expert on policy issues related to online advertising and monetization

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, law, political science, or related discipline)
• 5+ years of experience with privacy, data security, or technology policy issues
• Experience counseling and advising on privacy or other technology policy issues

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working directly with senior business executives
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• Experience with creating policy analysis and public presentations
• Working familiarity with privacy legislative frameworks, especially with regard to monetization
• Experience with privacy or technology policy issues, especially in the monetization and AI contexts
• JD, Master's degree or equivalent
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Working familiarity with online advertising and monetization of technology products
