About the job M&A Tax Associate

About the M&A Tax Associate

The tax team has a broad transactional tax practice with a focus on M&A, both domestic and cross-border, and on advising investment partnerships, as well as their portfolio companies in a wide range of activities, including fund formation, acquisitions, and dispositions. The tax team also represents developers of and investors in renewable energy projects, including advising clients on tax structuring and availability of federal tax credits and incentives. Our lawyers advise clients in their ongoing and transactional tax planning, tailoring structures to meet business and financial goals. We also often serve as special tax counsel to other law firms, accounting firms, and investment banks.

Responsibilities

We are looking to grow our tax group with a mid-level associate based in New York. This candidate will work and advise clients on merger and acquisition transactions, debt and other financing transactions, and portfolio investments; design and implement tax-efficient structures for joint ventures and a wide range of corporate transactions; and provide clients with state tax planning advice.

Collaboration with team members is an important component of any role at our firm. Therefore, we encourage working from the office approximately 60% of the time in accordance with our published guidelines.
