As Litigation and Compliance Counsel, you will play a key role in overseeing Genesys' worldwide litigation docket and strengthening the company's global compliance program. You will work closely with a broad range of business teams, including finance, human resources, IT, product, and operations, to help resolve legal and regulatory issues that enable the business to scale and grow.
This role requires a proactive and engaged approach, with the ability to work cross-functionally both internally and externally. You will provide strategic legal guidance across pre-litigation disputes and adversarial matters, while also supporting day-to-day legal risk assessment and compliance initiatives. You will operate in a fast-moving, technology-driven environment where practical, business-focused solutions are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end management of global litigation matters, driving strategy, execution, and resolution across jurisdictions
- Lead outside counsel relationships, ensuring alignment on case strategy, performance, and cost efficiency
- Drive internal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing stakeholders, and shaping defensible legal positions
- Influence pre-litigation strategy to reduce risk exposure and improve resolution outcomes
- Partner cross-functionally with business leaders to provide actionable legal guidance on disputes and regulatory matters
- Strengthen and scale compliance programs, including policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Monitor global regulatory trends and translate insights into proactive risk mitigation strategies
- Enable the business to scale by aligning legal risk management with operational and product innovation goals
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in a US state or territory
- Minimum of 8 years of legal experience across a combination of private practice and in-house environments
- Substantial litigation experience within a government agency, leading law firm, or major technology organization
- Strong ability to collaborate across functions including finance, HR, privacy, IT, sales, and product teams
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, privacy, and technology-related legal matters
- Proven ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory environments with sound judgment
- Experience managing multiple high-priority matters in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong track record of building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting international business operations and cross-border legal matters
- Deep understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks within the technology industry
- Demonstrated ability to operationalize compliance programs at scale
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate legal complexity into practical guidance

Compensation:
This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.
$163,400.00 - $287,400.00
