Full Job Description
Summary/Objective

The Low-Voltage Superintendent supports field operations by coordinating daily jobsite activities, supervising subcontractors and craft labor, enforcing safety protocols, and assisting with overall project execution. This role works closely with the Superintendent to ensure work is completed in accordance with the project schedule, quality expectations, and safety requirements. The Assistant Superintendent plays a key role in maintaining site logistics, tracking progress, and supporting successful turnover.

Project Coordination & Field Support
  • Assist the Superintendent with planning, sequencing, and coordinating all low-voltage field operations.
  • Help ensure materials, tools, equipment, and manpower needs are communicated and available to support scheduled work.
  • Support execution of lookahead schedules and daily/weekly plans.
  • Track and document daily progress through daily logs and photos in Procore.


Safety Leadership
  • Enforce all company and site-specific safety protocols and expectations.
  • Conduct and document daily safety huddles, toolbox talks, and other required safety communications.
  • Help monitor site conditions and immediately address or escalate hazards and unsafe behavior.


Subcontractor & Craft Labor Supervision
  • Supervise subcontractors and craft labor to ensure work is performed safely and in alignment with project requirements.
  • Monitor quality of installation and assist with resolving field issues.
  • Communicate design changes, RFIs, and relevant updates to appropriate field teams as directed by the Superintendent.


Site Logistics & Jobsite Management
  • Coordinate material deliveries and equipment needs to minimize disruptions and maintain workflow.
  • Manage day-to-day site logistics including laydown areas, access routes, cleanliness, and overall organization.
  • Assist with on-site inspections and help prepare for required code or customer inspections.


Closeout & Turnover Support
  • Assist with punch list creation, tracking, and completion.
  • Support turnover activities, commissioning efforts, and documentation collection as assigned.


Competencies
  • Low-Voltage Project Management Experience
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of commercial electrical construction practices
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Solid time-management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • Working knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Office preferred


Work Environment

This role operates in a construction field environment with exposure to weather conditions, active jobsite hazards, and high-voltage environments. Work outside normal hours may be required.

Physical Demands

The employee may be required to stand, walk, climb ladders, use hands, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Travel

Travel may be required based on project location, including occasional overnight stays.

Required Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience in mission-critical or data center construction
  • Strong expertise in low-voltage project management , field operations, and supervision
  • Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades in the field

$95,000-$155,000 USD
