Job DescriptionOverviewThe
Logistics Traffic Marshall Specialist will support a transformative airport infrastructure project and will be part of a high-performing project team based in the west end of
Toronto. Your role- Responsible for the acquisition, warehousing and delivery of all parts, equipment, services and supplies according to company standards and specifications at competitive prices.
- Understands logistics terminology, measures, concepts and principles, works under general direction and with the company logistics systems and processes.
- Recognizes logistics processes/project actions that may impact the project.
- Utilizes schedules in the establishment of logistics milestones and prepares evaluation of freight forwarders' capabilities, requests for Quotations for logistics and freight forwarding services.
- Contacts freight forwarders for timely submittal of logistics bids.
- Tabulates transportation/logistics bids and assists in performing the bid analysis and establishing cost reasonableness.
- Assists in contacting freight forwarders for clarifications,
- Maintains documentation of the logistics process.
- Assists in the preparation of logistics reports and client approval packages prior to award and preparation of negotiation strategy
- Prepares logistics agreements and assists in the evaluation of disputes with shippers and freight forwarders.
- Supports review of invoices and resolution of discrepancies including monitoring performance of shippers and freight forwarders.
About you- University Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or Diploma/Certificate with 8+ years of relevant experience, demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in a relevant logistics role which could include interface coordination, material delivery, traffic management, or laydown area coordination.
- Demonstrable experience in the logistics field relevant to the role, interface coordination, material delivery, traffic management, or laydown area coordination.
- Strong technical capability in all project phases, including design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills including the ability to facilitate meeting / workshops with large groups of stakeholders.

Additional informationExpected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $85,000 - $135,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters such as skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
