We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Logistics Manager (Engineering) in Griffin, GA.

Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.

Job Summary:
  • The Logistics Manager (Engineering) leads and develops a regional logistics engineering team responsible for delivering end-to-end supply chain and warehouse engineering solutions across multiple facilities. Oversees the execution of logistics engineering strategies that improve safety, capacity, efficiency, and automation performance across supported sites within the Americas network.

What You Will Do:
  • Supervise and develop a team of logistics engineers providing support across multiple Southern U.S. & Mexico facilities (Fountain Inn, Griffin, Corinth, Waco, Seguin, Victoria, Nuevo Laredo), ensuring alignment to enterprise logistics engineering standards and priorities.
  • Lead and prioritize engineering initiatives focused on safety improvements, capacity expansion, operational efficiency, and warehouse automation deployment across the regional network.
  • Provide technical leadership and project oversight for capital and continuous improvement projects, including scope development, cost estimation, execution, and performance tracking.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics related to safety, throughput, capacity utilization, and cost efficiency across supported operations.
  • Partner with facility leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align engineering priorities with strategic business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Caterpillar engineering standards, safety requirements, and regulatory expectations across all projects and operations.
  • Mentor and coach engineers in technical skills, project execution, and professional development to build a high-performing regional team.
  • Support long-term network planning and transformation initiatives, including automation roadmap development and investment justification.

Distribution Center Management: Knowledge of distribution center management; ability to operate a warehouse or distribution center that handles the flow of goods from supplier to production to customer.

• Oversees engineering support for warehouse operations, including space utilization and material flow optimization.
• Partners with site teams to reduce bottlenecks and improve throughput.
• Supports implementation of inventory and storage strategies aligned to operational needs.

Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.

• Leads development of logistics processes and engineered standards across multiple facilities.
• Ensures alignment of logistics strategies with supply chain and business objectives.
• Oversees implementation and standardization of best practices in logistics operations.

Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

• Provides governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication for capital and CI initiatives.

Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.

Level Working Knowledge:
• Integrates engineering solutions into broader supply chain strategies.
• Identifies opportunities to improve end-to-end flow through network design and process optimization.
• Supports supply chain transformation initiatives across the Americas.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field desired.
  • Experience leading engineering teams in logistics, warehousing, or distribution environments
  • Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects and automation solutions (AMR, ASRS, storage systems, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of warehouse design, material flow, and capacity planning

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00
