Job Description:

As a Lifecycle Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining optimal processes for the aftermarket parts portfolio managed solutions that support actions within the Supply Chain, Purchasing, Inventory, Compliance, and Dealer Collaboration processes and rules, as well as facility supply chain goals and objectives. 


Additional Information:

  • This role is located in Morton IL and does not offer relocation.
  • This role is 1st shift, Monday – Friday.
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
  • This role requires up to 10% domestic travel

What You Will Do:

  • Identifying, defining, and implementing integrated solutions and performance improvements, including building internal and external alliances to explore opportunities.

  • Establishing effective linkages, partnerships, and best practices with business partners and internal functions.

  • Investigating and incorporating industry benchmarks, metrics and best practices to develop optimal processes for suppliers and/or products.

  • Developing and analyzing data and information to identify and prioritize opportunities for improving performance and creating more cost-effective solutions.

  • Supporting PLS leadership as needed for senior and executive leader reporting.


What You Have (Basic Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment. 

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services. 

  • Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.

  • Standard Operating Procedures: Knowledge of established standard operating procedures (SOP); ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations in order to increase operational efficiency. 

What Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have):

  • Experience and knowledge of project management and process improvements.

  • Previous experience reviewing and analyzing business data and providing resolutions.

  • Thorough understanding of aftermarket part policies and procedures.

  • Understanding of part supply systems / technology solutions.

  • Previous experience in Compliance, Inventory, Dealer Support, or Supply Chain 

  • Cross-functional project experience working with all levels of the Enterprise

  • Working knowledge of power apps, automation techniques, etc.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
