Licensed Electrician

Job Description Summary
Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting building electrical systems, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Supports general maintenance tasks, maintains records, and coordinates with contractors as needed.Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances within assigned buildings i.e.., installs device receptacles, provides connection to computer workstations, replaces fuses and/or faulty switches, etc.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and inspections on building electrical equipment and systems i.e., tests electrical lighting, monitors systems.
  • Ensures all required tasks are completed per the manufacturer specifications.
  • Assists in developing preventive maintenance programs for all equipment.
  • Troubleshoots electrical equipment and systems and/or diagnoses the cause of trouble and makes repairs i.e., corrects any emergency power outages.
  • Maintains work logs i.e., records of wiring.
  • Prepares various reports as necessary.
  • Performs general building maintenance functions as required.
  • Performs additional duties as requested i.e., maintains inventory for supplies and parts, requisitions parts/equipment as needed, performs various general maintenance functions as requested, coordinates activities of outside contractors.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and safe condition. Complies with C&W, Client and OSHA safety policies and regulations
  • Ensures assigned work tasks meet quality standards
  • Promotes the development of quality improvements through the initiation of process improvements
  • Use hand tools, measuring instruments, and other equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Must be able to follow writing and verbal instructions.
  • Willing to work overtime as needed

Operating Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Training & Education Requirements:     

  • High School graduate, GED, technical school or equivalent experience.
  • Electrician license from local jurisdiction
  • Well versed in electrical codes and theory
  • Knowledge of national electric codes
  • Demonstrated a positive attitude
  • Able to work with computers, automated controls and their associated operating systems

Experience Requirements:         

Minimum three (3) years’ experience working as an electrician preferably in an industrial setting

Other Qualifications & Physical Requirements: 

Must pass a criminal background check

Must be capable to ascend/descent ladders and stairs for completing daily tasks

Must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. unassisted

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $46.75 - $55.00
