Overview

Provides direct, consultative, and supportive assessment and therapeutic services in psychotherapy and cognitive rehabilitation therapy to persons served and outpatients to enhance individual potential for learning and to meet the specific rehabilitation needs of persons served.

 

Salary range: $73,375- $95,000

Responsibilities

1. Implements clinical services for individual persons served under the direct supervision of an LCSW, in collaboration with the Trans-disciplinary team (IDT), and in accordance with regulations, standards, and guidelines defined by the Society for Cognitive Rehabilitation, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), the Individual Program Plan (IPP), Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), and established Bancroft policies and procedures

 

2. Provides direct and consultative psychological services, treatments, and intervention in accordance with

       regulations, standards, and guidelines defined by the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), New Jersey

       Board of Social Work Examiners’ Regulations and Laws, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act

      (HIPAA), the Individual Program Plan (IPP), and established Bancroft policies and procedures.

 

3. Provides direct psychological therapy, treatment services, and intervention to persons served:

 

4. Provides direct and consultative treatment services in cognitive rehabilitation therapy to persons served:

 

5. Provides consultative services in psychological services to Trans-Disciplinary Team (TDT) and other staff members,persons served family members, and residential direct care givers (both within and outside of the Bancroft organization):

 

6. Facilitates a team approach to program development, implementation, and monitoring by effectively collaborating with all specialty/clinical disciplines, residential, vocational, staff, and families to identify and best meet the individual rehabilitation needs of each person served.

 

7. Provides case management to persons served, including, but not limited to, referrals to appropriate community agencies and acts as a liaison between Bancroft and external case managers and funders.

 

8. Provides ongoing technical support to, and serves as a member of the TDT; e.g., residential staff members,family members, healthcare personnel, etc., regarding behavior intervention programs. Formulates methods and techniques for use by TDT to ensure a functionally-sound behavior plan, as needed for persons served in accordance with the IPP.

 

9. May provide professional guidance by serving as a member of the Behavior Management Committee, presenting behavior management plans to the Committee and/or Human Rights Committee, contributing to staff learning and ensuring cohesive delivery of behavioral, educational, vocational, and recreational services for each person serve

 

10. Follows state-approved emergency procedures and utilizes Bancroft-approved crisis intervention techniques at all times.

 

11. Maintains an awareness of current and changing trends, techniques, methods, and research in the field of

 

12.  Performs other direct service, consultative, assessment, and supportive duties specific to psychological therapy and treatment services as assigned or as necessary. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by rehabilitation needs.

 

13. Remains current with required training certifications, meets state-regulated licensing and regulatory accreditations and adheres to mandatory requirements.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work required.  Prior experience working with neurologically-impaired individuals preferred.  Must receive ACBIS certification within 12 months of hire and maintain LCSW license.
