Full Job Description
Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC is looking for a Legislative Policy Analyst to provide support for our government customer in Arlington, Virginia.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze congressional legislation and USG policies and regulatory requirements that may impact or relate to DoW and U.S. interagency partners' efforts to counter global drug trafficking and other illicit threat network activities that threaten U.S. national security interests.
  • Analyze and conduct assessments of DoW legislative proposals for content, technical accuracy, supporting justification, and compliance with policy and guidance that involve or relate to DoW efforts to counter illicit threat network activities. Prepare, for USG personnel review, congressional notification packages supporting execution of DoW CD/CTOC/CTF programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Master's degree from an accredited college/university in Political Science.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of U.S. legislative processes and DoW authorities in order to provide background information and analyses required for DoW personnel to draft proposed changes to governing legislation, prepare congressional testimony and responses to congressional correspondence, and draft agency responses to audit reports from the DoW Inspector General, the Government Accountability Office, and other federal oversight entities.
  • Possess ten (10) years' experience providing services to senior general/flag officer ranks and/or SES levels within the DOW, other government agencies, or industry corporate equivalents, and will be expected to perform at the level of a mid-range GS-15 equivalent.
  • Be able to operate independently, proactively manage requirements, and require minimal government direction to achieve desired outcomes
  • Demonstrate prior experience and capabilities for the successful execution of tasks associated with specific duty positions/focus areas (e.g., legislative, budget, etc.).
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and the ability to translate highly technical information into plain language for effective communication with DoW and other USG staff in the performance of all duties, tasks and services.
  • Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
  • Must be a naturalized U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
