Overview

The Legal Service Delivery Specialist is a frontline legal professional operating at the intersection of legal support, service delivery, and workflow improvement. You will serve as a primary legal contact for business clients, resolve complex matters within the team's scope with minimal supervision, and work across CELA to identify risk, resolve issues, and deliver consistent support across regions.

This role offers the opportunity to help define the next generation of legal service delivery within CELA. In addition to supporting individual matters, you will help simplify recurring legal work, strengthen readiness, and develop more scalable ways to support the business. You will work with attorneys, legal professionals, and technology partners to improve workflows and responsibly use data, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to increase the speed, quality, and reach of legal support.

Responsibilities

Frontline Legal Support and Client Counseling

  • Serve as a primary legal contact for business clients and complex questions submitted through Global Frontline intake channels. Provide practical legal support with minimal supervision, identify issues and risks, and consult with attorneys or subject matter experts as appropriate.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and process legal and business materials and correspondence. Apply Microsoft policies and approved legal guidance to help clients move work forward while ensuring appropriate escalation and follow-through.
  • Build strong knowledge of Microsoft's businesses, commercial priorities, CELA processes, and relevant legal frameworks, and apply regional and cultural context to deliver practical, business-focused support.
  • Manage a high volume of matters across multiple clients, priorities, and regions, exercising sound judgment regarding risk, prioritization, escalation, and resource allocation.


Service Delivery and Readiness

  • Identify recurring client needs, readiness gaps, and process inefficiencies. Work with attorneys and other legal professionals to develop practical guidance, playbooks, intake requirements, training, and self-service resources that allow the team to take on work deliberately and consistently.
  • Use service data and stakeholder feedback to identify trends, assess quality, and recommend improvements to Global Frontline's scope, processes, and client experience.


Continuous Improvement and Workflow Innovation

  • Help redesign repeatable legal work for scale and speed. Translate legal and business needs into improved workflows and partner with legal operations, technology, and engineering teams to implement solutions.
  • Support responsible adoption of automation and AI-enabled capabilities in legal workflows, and lead or contribute to projects that help Global Frontline adopt more effective ways of working.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in paralegal, legal administration, or relevant experience OR Paralegal Certification that meets the requirements for the location of work AND 6+ years experience in paralegal, legal administration, or relevant experience OR equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in paralegal, legal administration, or relevant experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience in program/project management.
  • 8+ years relevant in-house, legal service provider, and/or law firm experience.
  • 8+ years experience in a technology industry environment.
  • Experience supporting complex legal or compliance matters with limited supervision and exercising sound judgment regarding risk, prioritization, and escalation.
  • Experience working directly with business clients and collaborating across legal, operational, or technical teams.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Spanish-language.
  • Experience in an in-house legal department, legal service provider, law firm, compliance function, or legal operations environment.
  • Experience supporting a global organization or client population across regions and time zones.
  • Experience improving legal processes or workflows and developing scalable legal resources.
  • Experience using data, technology, automation, or AI-enabled tools to improve legal service delivery.


Paralegal IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,900 - $189,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $126,200 - $207,600 per year.
