ispace-U.S. is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive
Legal Assistant to support the company's legal function. Based in our Denver, CO office and reporting to Senior Legal Counsel, this role provides a combination of substantive legal support and legal operations across the company's commercial, compliance, and corporate activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable wearing multiple hats, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a coordination point for communications between ispace-U.S. and its parent holding company
Support cross-border compliance and reporting requirements as needed
Scheduling, Events & Administrative SupportManage calendaring and scheduling for the legal team, including meeting coordination and travel logistics
Support planning and coordination of legal team events and company-wide legal training sessions
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and capture meeting notes for legal team meetings and cross-functional sessions
Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the legal team to support the company's evolving legal and business needs.
NDA & Commercial Agreement SupportSupport the negotiation, processing, and tracking of non-disclosure agreements and other routine commercial agreements
Maintain the company's contract management system and ensure timely execution and storage of executed documents
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (engineering, finance, business development) on contract requirements and obligations
Legal Research & DraftingConduct legal research on space law, regulatory developments, and policy matters relevant to the company's operations
Prepare summaries, briefing memos, and presentations for senior leadership and legal team review
Draft, proofread, and edit legal correspondence, agreements, and internal communications
Compliance TrackingTrack and monitor compliance obligations, including FAR/DFARS, ITAR, EAR, and other regulatory frameworks applicable to commercial space activities
Monitor filing deadlines and coordinate with registered company officials to remain in compliance with U.S. government regulations
Maintain and organize corporate records and filings
Track and manage renewal deadlines for insurance policies, government registrations, licenses, permits, and key commercial agreements, ensuring timely renewals and escalating to Senior Legal Counsel as needed
Client Intake & Internal Legal OperationsManage internal client intake for the legal department, including triaging requests and maintaining matter tracking
Coordinate internal management of supply chain management requests directed to the legal team
Manage outside counsel relationships, invoice review, and legal billing
Internal CommunicationServe as a coordination point for communications between ispace-U.S. and its parent holding company

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or legal operations role, ideally in an in-house legal department or law firm in the aerospace, defense, government contracts, or technology sectors
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written communication skills, including drafting, proofreading, and editing
- Proficiency with contract lifecycle management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain strict confidentiality
- Familiarity with ITAR, EAR, or similar export control and national security compliance frameworks preferred
