Legal Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to assigned attorneys.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for...
  • Interacting with clients by phone, email, and in person to facilitate delivery of legal services
  • Managing calendars, scheduling complex travel and coordinating client events; time and data entry
  • Facilitating timely processing, tracking, and delivery of client bills, and following up with clients to ensure payment
  • Assigning priorities, due dates for completion of incoming and pending work based on existing matters and practice objectives; monitoring status on a routine basis and responding/re-prioritizing as needed
  • Reading and interpreting all incoming e-mails; identifying action items, responsible parties and time frame for completion; ensuring action items are addressed timely and follow up as needed
  • Opening new client files, preparing engagement letters, and following up with clients
  • Setting up and maintaining electronic client files and share sites, finalizing documents and preparing presentations
  • Strong collaboration between other administrative support professionals
  • Coordinating with billing attorneys and billing team on all monthly pre-bills and necessary revisions; preparing bills for mailing and maintaining billing records

Pay Range for Candidates in Washington, DC:

$75,000 - $110,000 per year

The range provided is the minimum and maximum salary that Venable in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
