Job Description

Technical Trainer/Instructional Designer

Are you passionate about merging technology with education to create impactful learning experiences? Do you thrive on making complex concepts easy to understand and love helping others succeed? If so, we want to hear from you!

We're seeking a dynamic Technical Trainer to join our team! In this role, you'll be instrumental in equipping our team with the skills they need to excel using our essential tools and applications. You'll deliver engaging training sessions and design comprehensive learning materials catering to a diverse group of learners. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems and has a deep passion for teaching and instructional design.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead Learning: Conduct training sessions that empower our teammates to confidently navigate and utilize the technology and tools vital to their success.
  • Design Learning Content: Create and continually improve instructional materials, including e-learning courses and job aids, to enhance the learning experience and accommodate various learning styles.
  • Engage & Inspire: Implement various instructional strategies to ensure active participation and understanding, adapting as necessary to meet the diverse needs of our learners.
  • Evaluate & Evolve: Measure the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations and feedback, using this data to make ongoing improvements that drive better outcomes.
  • Stay Ahead: Keep up with the latest training and instructional design trends, incorporating innovative methods and tools to keep our programs fresh and engaging.


What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in training, instructional design, or a related field, with a strong preference for those focusing on technology and digital tools.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A team player who works well with cross-functional teams such as IT, HR, and other departments to ensure that training aligns with our organizational goals.
  • Instructional Expertise: Proven ability to design and deliver content that meets the diverse needs of learners, with a deep understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Clear Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts in a way that's easy to understand and engaging.
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines while consistently maintaining a high standard of quality.


Training Presentation: As part of the interview process, candidates will be asked to prepare and deliver a brief training session on a selected topic.

The Wage Range for the role is $33.50 - $51.00 per hour.

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.71/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
