Full Job Description
Seaman Corporation is seeking a LeanSigma Manager to join our Bristol Operations team! This position will report to the Plant Manager. Position Summary The LeanSigma Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives across the Bristol Operations. This role drives LeanSigma® methodologies to support business objectives and advance operational excellence, focusing on improvements in cost, quality, efficiency, and overall value creation. The LeanSigma Manager partners with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, drive measurable outcomes, and foster a culture of operational excellence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Identify, prioritize, and develop targeted continuous improvement opportunities aligned with plant and business objectives. - Deploy and sustain LeanSigma® methods and across Operations through training, coaching and hands-on support. - Partner with production, engineering, quality, supply chain, finance, and other departments to eliminate waste and improve cash flow, profitability, and return on investment. - Facilitate kaizen events and cross-functional project teams to address operational challenges, by defining scope, building actionable plans, and delivering measurable results on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. - Coach and mentor associates at all levels to embed Lean thinking and continuous improvement tools (e.g., 5S, SMED, A3, etc.). - Maintain a visible shop-floor presence; partner with engineers, technicians, and production associates, being fully engaged in the identification, resolution and follow-through of process issues and challenges. - Utilize value stream mapping, KPI analysis, impact/difficulty assessments, and related tools to guide improvement activities. - Maintain and enhance systems for planning, reporting, and tracking of continuous improvement efforts. - Prepare and deliver regular performance updates and project status for senior leadership. - Support a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through hands on engagement, training, and leadership. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline; - Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred. - Minimum five (5) years leading Lean, Six Sigma, or similar change initiatives in a manufacturing or technical environment. - Demonstrated strong leadership ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and deliver measurable results. - Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Experience with ERP/MES and Mini-Tab preferred.
