The Leader, Enterprise Compliance role will report to Rebecca Ma.
What You Will Do:
Enterprise Compliance Strategy & Leadership
- Developing and executing Interac's multi-year enterprise compliance strategy and roadmap.
- Monitoring regulatory developments, emerging risks, and industry trends to ensure the compliance program remains effective and future-focused.
- Advising executive leadership and the Board on compliance program effectiveness, risks, priorities, and strategic direction.
Governance, Risk & Compliance Enablement
- Leading the development and maintenance of enterprise compliance policies, standards, frameworks, and governance structures.
- Supporting and advancing Interac's Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) program to strengthen consistency and accountability across the organization.
- Ensuring regulatory requirements are effectively integrated into business operations and decision-making.
Compliance Oversight & Risk Management
- Providing independent oversight, challenge, and guidance on regulatory and compliance risks.
- Leading enterprise compliance assessments, gap analyses, and remediation initiatives.
- Partnering with Legal, Privacy, Information Security, Internal Audit, Human Resources, and business leaders to strengthen risk management and compliance practices.
Culture, Capability & Leadership
- Building, mentoring, and developing a high-performing compliance team.
- Driving enterprise-wide compliance awareness, education, and culture initiatives.
- Ensuring the compliance function maintains the capability and capacity required to meet evolving regulatory expectations.
Executive & Board Reporting
- Developing and delivering executive and Board-level reporting on compliance risks, program maturity, and strategic initiatives.
- Leveraging metrics, analytics, key performance indicators, and key risk indicators to support decision-making and organizational transparency.
- A university degree in Business, Management, Law, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise compliance, risk management, governance, regulatory affairs, or related functions within a regulated environment.
- Experience designing, implementing, and evolving enterprise compliance frameworks and programs.
- Strong knowledge of governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and control frameworks.
- Experience presenting to senior executives, Boards of Directors, and regulatory bodies.
- Exceptional business acumen and the ability to balance regulatory requirements, organizational risk appetite, and business objectives.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and influencing complex enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Professional designations such as CRM or CPA are considered assets.

The hiring range for this position is $170,000.00 - $190,000.00, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
