In this role, you will:
- Analyze complex financial and credit information for law firms according to business unit standards. Underwrite commercial loans with high aggregate credit exposure and may manage a credit portfolio of clients. Compiles, analyzes, and documents loan data and credit risk, borrower, and property information.
- Candidate must be experienced in financial analysis, underwriting and structuring of highly complex commercial banking relationships. As a member of the Legal Specialty Group (LSG), candidate will partner with Private Banker and Regional Directors in LSG to deliver high-quality custom credit solutions that result in a positive client experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of WIM Credit Policies and regulatory compliance requirements while serving commercial clients (law firms). Expected to exercise independent judgment and work with minimal direct supervision.
- Experience with legal documents and working with outside legal counsel; reviewing legal documents and leading negotiations is required.
- Expected to excel in credit structuring and communicating recommendations verbally and in writing. Regularly monitors and services existing portfolio and communicates findings with recommended solutions to management in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Wealth Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Preferred competencies include legal industry experience, capital markets expertise. Formal commercial credit training desirable. Wealth related underwriting/lending experience a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of financial accounting theory and logic, loan structuring, commercial products and services is needed for this role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills. Must have top partnering skills; the ability to interpret and discuss analytical data; and the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Proficient with computers and software applications (MSA, MS Excel, MS Word, other MS Office Suite applications, etc.) and applicable mainframe systems.
- Bachelor's degree preferred

- Ability to travel up to 20%

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
