Texas Capital Bank is seeking a creative and strategic User Experience (UX) Designer to craft intuitive, engaging, and user-centered digital experiences across our platforms. This role will transform complex business requirements into elegant design solutions that enhance the customer journey and drive digital innovation. The ideal candidate will be a strong advocate for the user, a skilled communicator, and a collaborative partner across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities- Lead UX Design and Digital Insights disciplines, establishing best practices and fostering excellence across the team and organization
- Build design credibility and embed user-centered thinking across product, engineering, and business decision-making through collaborative partnership and demonstrated impact
- Champion accessibility (WCAG standards) as a competitive advantage and compliance requirement, embedding inclusive design practices into the culture
- Establish and operationalize design standards and governance that scale across the organization
- Advocate for the customer and user-centered design practices throughout the product lifecycle, advancing usability, utility, and accessibility
- Translate user research, behavioral data, and insights into actionable design recommendations that inform product roadmap prioritization
- Transform cross-functional business requirements into engaging, intuitive design solutions that evolve the customer experience across internal applications, websites, digital onboarding, and online banking portals
- Convey ideas and solutions using communication and storytelling techniques to inspire and align stakeholders on vision and design direction
- Collaborate with product owners, platform delivery teams, and engineering to manage design delivery and ensure alignment between vision and implementation
- Produce journey maps, wireframes, and design systems that serve as the foundational framework for a maturing design practice
QualificationsRequired- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in Product Design, UX Design, or related discipline, with 2+ years in a leadership or senior-level design role
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Interaction Design, UX Design, Service Design, Visual Design, HCI, or related fields
- Demonstrated expertise in WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Proficiency with standard design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, etc.)
- Proven experience working across multiple platforms (websites, web applications, mobile apps) with understanding of how designs translate to code
- Portfolio demonstrating ability to adapt design best practices across web and mobile at enterprise scale
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to influence stakeholders across organizational levels
- Experience with Agile SDLC methodologies and iteration-based development
Preferred- Financial services industry experience
- Experience establishing or scaling design systems and governance models
- Leadership experience mentoring design talent
- Familiarity with user research methodologies and data-driven design approaches
