Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead Ultrasound Technologist (FGP) - Manhattan.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for performing medically prescribed ultrasound procedures and reviewing work of the staff, assisting in the supervision of the technical and support staff and facilitating patient flow.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provides direction to the technical staff, facilitates patient flow through the department, and provides support to management.
  • Directs and monitors student and clinical training.
  • Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance procedure.
  • Independently implements patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.
  • Effectively assesses patients information and status, and follows appropriate procedure(s) accordingly.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate toradiology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Certification from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program, required.
  • Registered as American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, required.
  • Minimum of five years' ultrasound experience, required.

Required Licenses: Cardiovasculr Credentl Int_CCI, Am Rgtry Diagn Med Sonographer

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $118,534.50 - $131,155.92 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
