Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health opened its doors this April as the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 25 years! Integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8, this enhanced integrated delivery system will establish a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. Our advanced hospital will offer 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, onsite 550-car parking garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are currently seeking a Lead MRI Technologist (Full-Time)

The Lead MRI Technologist reports to the designated leader within the Imaging Department. This position performs diagnostic procedures with skills and without requiring constant supervision in CT and MRI. This position will require independent judgment and initiative of a technical level.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalency required.
  • Diploma from certified school of Radiology required.
  • Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience as a Registered Radiology Technologist required, acute care experience preffered.
  • One (1) to Two (2) years of experience in two (2) modalities (i.e. CT, MR, IR, or Cath Lab) required, acute care experience preffered.
  • Current DC Radiology Technologist (CRT) license with fluoroscopy licensure if required by state.
  • Current American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license preffered.
  • Or - Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) must be obtained within 6 months of start date and maintained current thereafter.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Skills:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
