- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps
- Optimize existing ABL code for performance, maintainability, and reliability
- Lead code reviews and enforce best practices
- Act as a single point of contact for providing timely resource and project updates
- Mentor and coach developers of all levels of experience
What You Will Bring:- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Progress ABL / OpenEdge technologies (e.g., AppServer, WebSpeed, PAS for OpenEdge)
- Experience working with Progress Character UI (ChUI) in Unix/Linux environments
- Experience working in XML and JSON processing in conjunction with REST APIs
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Git
- Exposure to enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and SharePoint
- Solid understanding of SDLC processes, Agile methodologies (SCRUM), and Release/Change Management practices
- Strong adherence to development standards and industry best practices
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development and automation concepts, with a keen interest in improving engineering efficiency
- Experience with Visual Studio Code will be an advantage
