If you are an Engineer seeking an opportunity to grow and drive solutions across both the power and water automation industries, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Cranberry Township, PA office, the Lead Proposal Engineer will be part of the New Generation Power Projects Proposals team and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering to develop Ovation-based solutions for our existing Ovation customers across North America. In this role, you will develop and prepare Ovation Advantage proposals, which include control system modernization, subsystem replacements, and ancillary systems integration. Emerson's six decades of power and water expertise embedded in the Ovation distributed control system (DCS) form a reliable, innovative platform that evolves with rapidly changing technology to improve plant reliability.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Prepare DCS proposals for new generation power projects in response to customer requests.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to developing proposal engineers.
• Perform review of customer specifications and conform compliance.
• Define proposal strategies that align with customer specifications, based on organizational goals, market insight, and expert process and product knowledge.
• Collaborate across teams to validate technical feasibility, engineering requirements, and cost-effective solutions.
• Engage directly with customers to communicate Emerson's capabilities and understand application needs.
• Develop optimal project cost structures that mitigate technical risk and strengthen competitive positioning.
• Support presentations, interviews, and negotiations utilizing a thorough understanding of customer applications and Emerson capabilities and products.
• Partner effectively with sales, engineering, project teams, and global offices as needed to deliver cohesive proposal packages.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with the Ovation DCS platform.
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Knowledge in proposal development, cost estimating, project management, or project engineering.
• Experience preparing technical compliance clarifications and exceptions.
• Proven history of working across a variety of groups in a large organization.
• Demonstrate the need to know the latest on new technologies and make learning a priority.
