What is the opportunity?

Do you have the ability to take a napkin sketch and see it through to business value delivery? If so, this might be the role for you. As Lead Project Manager with Global Asset Management (GAM), you are responsible for planning and executing programs and projects with moderate to high level of value (benefit/cost), and a high level of complexity and uncertainty. You have the ability to set up a program or project, build relationships, determine dependencies and resource requirements, impact and influence stakeholders, and see a project through to delivery. This includes managing scope, requirements changes, multiple and competing demands and priorities as well as determining and conveying impact on budget, time, and risk using appropriate fact-based metrics/assumptions. You will bridge vendor, business, and technology worlds to deliver solutions that your clients value.

What will you do?
  • Display project leadership skills through stakeholder management, team leadership, and management of internal and external dependencies.
  • Excel in project delivery by establishing and maintaining effective project routines, KPIs and metrics (including status reporting), project compliance requirements, and clear, concise and timely communication is consistent across the project deliverables.
  • As required, build programs and projects from the ground up, ensuring appropriate governance in place, stakeholders aligned, and resourcing secured.
  • Lead an established technology team through ongoing delivery of functional capabilities aligned to business value and accountable for achieving release objectives, managing risks to delivery.
  • Display effective schedule management skills using scheduling and estimating tools (e.g. Burndown charts, project plans) to estimate and sequence project tasks, milestones and deliverables in alignment with desired outcomes.
  • Excel in financial management through cost estimation within appropriate degrees of confidence, monitoring and controlling of project costs (forecasts, baselines, actuals and benefits) and the PAR process, as well as contributing to the benefit management process.
  • Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management in a complex business and technology environment across different lines of business.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a link between business and technology and ensure both aspects of any project are speaking the same language and working toward a common goal.


What do you need to succeed?

Must Have
  • 7+ years Project Management experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering medium and/or large complexity technology projects with a wide range of geographically diverse stakeholders and skillsets.
  • Proven ability to manage highly visible programs/projects with third party vendors.
  • Advanced communication skills including presentation, facilitation, verbal and written with comfort presenting to senior level management and executives.
  • Ability to prioritize work for the greatest impact through effective decision-making skills.
  • Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting accountability for results, along with a growth mindset and the desire to continuously learn and improve.
  • Advanced knowledge of change, issue, and risk management and advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) within Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies/day-2-day ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated ability to impact and influence others without formal reporting lines. People management experience is an asset.
  • Ability to coach teams and individuals in regards to their project delivery practices.
