LEAD PROJECT MANAGERPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Lead Project Manager serves as the designated site lead and primary point of contact with the Government, providing experienced oversight across all construction efforts at a large project site. Operating with limited supervision and broad general direction, this individual independently applies advanced techniques to complex assignments while leading the full project team with confidence and authority. A fully competent and seasoned professional, the Lead Project Manager is recognized as the driving force behind successful project execution, ensuring all construction activities are coordinated, compliant, and delivered to the highest standard.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Primary contact for the COR and CO on issues relating to personnel.
- Provides direction to the team, coordinates schedules, and workload. Provide oversight of construction-related activities for contracts.
- Support COR by performing all project management tasks.
- Provide the day-to-day project management for construction and service projects.
- Tasks include coordination with customers, schedule review, and design review.
- Develop solutions to construction problems or existing conditions encountered in the field.
- Review contractor submittals for contract conformance.
- Aid the contracting officer and COR throughout the acquisition phases of the project to include answering offerors questions; attending/participating in site orientation visits; attending/participating in joint contractor/government meetings.
- Draft technical responses to any change orders.
- Prepare statement of work and cost estimate for new contracts and contract modifications.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Four-year degree in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years' project management work experience on commercial or Government construction projects.
- Must be a U.S Citizen
- Has underdone a minimum of a Tier 1 Public Trust 1 background investigation or higher within the last 5 years
- Will be required to undergo a DHS Suitability assessment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Prefer PMP or other project management certification.
