Title: Lead, Program Manager

Location: Simi Valley, CA (This role is 100% Onsite)

Business Unit: Space Vector

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off.

Position Summary:

Fisica Space Vector is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and strategically minded Lead Program Manager to lead programs within our product development portfolio. As a key member of the Space Vector program management team, you will drive the strategic capture of new business within the Aerospace, Defense, and National Security sectors through execution excellence and early product development deliveries.

In this role, you will transition seamlessly between high-level strategic planning and hands-on execution. You will be primarily responsible for the successful execution of products in the development and qualification phase of the product life cycle. Additionally, you will be responsible for building customer relationships, identifying and qualifying multi-million dollar pipelines, and leading, supporting or collaborating in support of major capture and proposal efforts to align with national security and Allied requirements.

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Business Administration, or a related technical/business discipline is required. An MBA or advanced technical degree is highly desirable.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 9+ years of progressive experience in program management within the Aerospace and Defense sector. Minimum of 7+ years prior experience with graduate degree. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
      • Proven track record of successfully executing $10M+ programs with DoD and aerospace prime contractors.

Security & Compliance Requirements
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a future Security Clearance is required for the role. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship. Required due to the nature of our government contracts and handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and ITAR-controlled technical data (no exceptions).
  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance is highly preferred; eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance is required.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $125,000 - $232,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
