*** Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph clearance*** Summary The Power Plant Operator Lead is a supervisory level position that performs first-line supervisory responsibilities, including planning, assigning, and evaluating the work of subordinates and overseeing functioning within a work team. The Power Plant Operator Lead must perform their duties in a manner that reflects positively on the O&M Contractor, supports a strong safety culture, and meets the missions of the utility plant expectations. The Power Plant Operator Lead acts as a subject matter expert in site operations and is expected to have a high level of technical proficiency. As the Power Plant Operator Lead, a key responsibility of the role is ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of the facility's equipment and systems. 1. 1. 1. 1. - Directs and oversees the activities of Power Plant Operators during assigned shifts. - Serves as the incident lead, coordinating response actions and ensuring proper documentation. - Authors incident reports, shift summaries, operational assessments, and client communication reports. - Maintains comprehensive documentation of equipment configuration, operating procedures, maintenance record, and project improvement documentation. - Prepares reports and presentations summarizing performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvement. - Conducts quality control reviews of control room entries, monitoring practices, and procedural execution. - Ensures adherence to established protocols and standards across all operational activities. - Provides mentorship and guidance to Operators progressing through the O&M Qualification Program. - Acts as liaison between Operations and other departments during coordinated efforts. - Possesses and demonstrates in-depth knowledge, expertise in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex and specialized equipment. - Operates, monitors, and analyzes the performance of equipment and systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. - Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including safety, environmental, and energy efficiency requirements. Additional Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 1. 1. 1. 1. - Provides back up for the Operations Supervisor and other O&M Leads. - Manages on-going operations and coordinates performance of complex diagnostics, repairs, calibrations, modifications, and routine service on a wide variety of utility plant systems and equipment, including chillers, boilers, air compressors, pumps, cooling towers, air handlers, domestic water, controls, lighting, electrical security systems, fire systems etc. - Acts as liaison between the utility plant operators and management. - Completes the required administrative tasks, including identified reports, technical documents, logs, work orders, and digital processing workflow. - Ensures that all reports and other deliverables are generated accurately and on time. - Monitors proper closeout of implemented work orders and appropriate implementation of developed resources. - Complies with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs. - Other duties as assigned. Salary Range: $48/hour to $59/hour and Fringe Rate of $5.55/hour Basic Job Requirements 1. 1. 1. 1. - High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED). - Five or more years of trade school, industrial or commercial experience required. - Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors - Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner - Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job Other Job Requirements 1. 1. 1. 1. - Must have an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Clearance - U.S citizen - Minimum 4 years of experience with sophisticated hand tools and test equipment. - Minimum of 4 years' experience with facilities systems (including chilled water, compressed air, electrical distribution, and domestic hot and cold water) and equipment including HVAC, pumps, piping, valves, pneumatics, controls, motors, electrical up to 600 volts/3 phase, heat exchangers, and air compressors). - Ability to read and interpret building layouts, system drawings and manufacturers' equipment specifications. - Knowledge of standard and specialized maintenance practices. - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public - Colorado State Driver's License Preferred Qualifications 1. 1. 1. 1. - Local candidates preferred - Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Clearance - Current EPA Refrigeration License or ability to obtain - Current Stationary Engineering License or ability to obtain Benefits Statement: Fluor is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to promote employee health, wellness, and financial security. Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role. To be Considered Candidates: Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located. Salary Range: $59,000.00 - $111,000.00
