Full Job Description
Summary

This role provides accountability for the clinical and administrative activities of the Advanced Practice Provider (APPs) services within St. Clair Medical Group (SCMG), and provides support to the APP Director, physician lead, Practice Manager and Director. The Lead practices in an advanced role and coordinates the delivery of high quality, family/patient centered appropriate patient care within the designated service area. This role is split between a focus of 10 % administrative/90% clinical.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Five years of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program and meets the requirement for prescriptive authority privileges in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Currently certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) (APRN/CRNP) or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) (NCCPA)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with program development, process improvement, and implementation of clinical initiatives.
  • Two years of progressive leadership, supervisory, precepting, or project management experience.
  • Experience participating in quality, safety, or performance improvement committees.
  • Graduate of Master's and/or Doctorate Nurse Practitioner program with concentration in Family, Adult-Gerontology Primary, or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care; or graduate of a Doctorate-level Physician Assistant Program
  • Successful completion of an Advanced Practice Provider leadership course or equivalent leadership development program.
